Gianina Knoth,AP, LMT
Acupuncture Physician, Lic Massage Therapist
Gianina is a nationally licensed and board certified acupuncture physician and massage therapist practicing in the state of Florida.
After being told by several doctors that she would probably never have children, Gianina and her husband discovered that they were expecting their first child just 3 months after they were married. She quickly realized that all the acupuncture, massage and energy work to balance her body and reproductive system had paid off. During her pregnancy Gianina read and studied everything she could get her hands on regarding acupuncture and herbs for fertility, pregnancy and postpartum care, including natural child birth, home birth, placenta encapsulation, breastfeeding, baby wearing, cloth diapering and nutrition. She had found her passion!
Gianina began her health studies in massage therapy, and she graduated as valedictorian from the Acupuncture Massage College in Miami where she studied many types of massage, including shiatsu and prenatal massage. Gianina then enrolled in the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine, completing a 4 year program in 3 years with 2 years of hands on clinical work with patients. She graduated with an additional Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine. She is also a featured holistic health and nutrition writer for livestrong.com.
During her training, Gianina has studied under several well respected health care professionals in the field. She also completed additional programs, including the National Acupuncture and Detoxification (NADA) protocol, Cranio-Sacral therapy at the Uplegder Institute, Body Talk with the International Body Talk Association, and Community Acupuncture with the founders of Working Class Acupuncture.
Gianina believes passionately in a woman’s right to make informed choices about what is best for her body, her baby (or babies) and her health.
She believes in helping women become more aware about their body by teaching them to trust their instincts. Also, she firmly believes that no woman is broken or infertile, she simply needs gentle treatments that encourage her body to rebalance itself.
